Many of us know Pete Davidson from Saturday Night Live, but he’s been making a splash in the news for other reasons than his comedy lately. Recently, there has been a lot of talk in regards to his dating history and how he does it. Pete has dated a list of gorgeous women including Arianna Grande (she has a song titled with his name on an album), Kaley Cuoco, Kate Beckinsale and now Kim Kardashian. So what’s the deal with Pete Davidson and why are all of these elite women drawn to him? Could it be because he’s funny or kind, is it his height (he’s 6’3) or that he doesn’t have a problem with dating a woman who is more successful than he is?
A good sense of humor, kindness, and a tall stature are all desirable traits because they reflect good genes. From a biological perspective, these traits indicate he will not only be a good mate but also a good father one day. Since Kim Kardashian already has children she may want to ensure he is not only a match for he but also her children.
Successful women have been tied to unsuccessful relationships. Financially, Davidson is not considered unsuccessful but in comparison to Kardashian he is not quite on her level. Since he is comfortable with this it may serve as a relief to her knowing he isn’t trying to compete with her success.
There’s some speculation that maybe all of these women are “trying him out” due to mate choice copying or choosing a mate based on observation and acceptance by others beforehand. In other words, he could be considered somewhat of a “trend” for all of Hollywood’s top gals. Recently Davidson compared himself to a discounted DVD movie that someone doesn’t want to watch but ends up loving and considered himself “the diamond in the trash”. We may never know the truth behind why women are flocking to Pete, but whatever it is it seems to be working for him.
