When women are unexpectedly expecting they may feel lost, scared, alone and/or pressured. Being placed in this position make emotions run wild and many think they can make their problem disappear while never having to think about it again. However, what many women don’t know is the long term emotional and mental damage this may have on someone.

When reading stories about women who have terminated I noticed a common trend. They all stated how cold and lacking compassion the doctors and nurses were. They talked about how no one offered them another option and if they told the nurse they wanted to leave they would be coaxed into going through with the procedure anyway.

In all of the testimonies each woman stated how much they regretted their decision. They said they wished they would have given it more thought and weighed out their options instead of making a decision that has shown to have a lifelong negative impact. They talked about how they suffered from depression and felt changed afterwards almost as if they were a different person. They wanted how life would have been if they went with the other option. Some women turned to drugs or alcohol in order to cope with the guilt. Once they did start a family, they reported it never filled the void.
